Photographs need to be saved as JPG files. Photographs should be larger than 200 kb, preferably 750 kb or higher. An image that is smaller than 100 kb is too small to produce high quality announcements. Always take your photographs at the highest setting on your digital camera.

If you are scanning your images, make sure that you scan your images at 300 dpi or higher. The photo you choose for your main image needs to be 4x6 or larger. Do not scan a wallet size image, otherwise it will be blurry. If you are scanning a 4x6 image, make sure that your main subject takes up most of the photograph. If the faces are smaller than 1 inch in diameter (smaller than a quarter) then their faces will most likely be blurry.

Some email programs will compress an image file when attaching it to an email. If you cannot figure out how to turn this option off, then we recommend sending us a CD with your images.

Some photo labs will provide a CD of your images when you develop film. These are scanned at a low resolution and will not produce high quality announcements. We prefer that you send us the original prints for us to scan, rather than send us digital files that are too small.

If emailing more than one image, in the body of your email, please let us know the following:

• file names of all images
• which photograph you would like to use for your main image (if choosing a montage)

Do not mail your negatives to us, as they can get lost or damaged during transit. On the back of each photograph, please write the following information with a permanent marker (like a Sharpie pen). Please make sure ink is dry before stacking your photographs to prevent smudging:

• name, address, phone number and email address
• if choosing a montage design, please write "main photo" on the back of the photograph you wish to use
• if you have a crop, border, color option preference or any editing requests, please indicate it on the back of each photograph

Please write the following information on the front of your CD (not on the case) with a permanent marker:

• name, address, phone number and email address
• file names of all images included
• if choosing a montage design, please write "main photo" next to the file name

Please be sure to package photographs and CDs carefully to prevent damage during shipping. All photographs and CDs will be returned with your announcements.

Customer Agreement: By sending photographs to Moonrae Lynn Designs, customer warrants that he/she owns the copyrights to the photographs and has the authority to give Moonrae Lynn Designs permission to reproduce from the images. Customer will send written authorization from the photographer for any professionally taken photographs.
